About Us
What to Expect
The parking lot at Old Brick is reserved for the Congolese church that also meets at Old Brick and for drop offs. Street parking is free and covered, metered parking is available across the street underneath the Pappajohn Business Building
Don’t feel like you have to dress up. Most people wear casual attire, but you are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable.
On Sundays, babies and toddlers are cared for in the nursery for the entirety of the service. They enjoy songs, snacks, Bible stories and crafts. Kids age 3 and older participate in corporate worship and prayer with the entire church, then head downstairs during the sermon. We disciple the children in prayer, Bible stories, caring for others, obeying the Word of God, and sharing about Jesus. Our older children are involved in shepherding the younger ones in our multi-age, family style children's discipleship program.
Services last a little over an hour. We follow the liturgical story-arc of Scripture and the Good News of the Gospel through music, scripture reading, confession, and prayer. One of our Pastors or Pastors-in-Training will also preach from the Scriptures. Everyone will then be sent with a benediction/sending. We practice communion frequently as well. There are monthly oppurtunities before, or after the service for fellowship which will be announced from stage and via our weekly email.
