We are The Mom Community
...MomCo for short. MomCo is an organization that encourages and equips moms to realize their potential as mothers, women, and leaders, in relationship with Jesus and in partnership with the local church. Moms from all churches – or not part of any church – are invited to be part of our community.
We have two groups, The MomCo and MomCo: After Dark.

About The MomCo
Our content is geared toward moms of littles and expectant moms, but moms in all seasons are welcome. We meet two Tuesday mornings a month at Grace Community Church, beginning in the fall and running through spring. We also enjoy optional play dates, group outings, moms' nights out and more. During Tuesday meetups we offer paid childcare for ages six months to five years.

About MomCo: After Dark
We focus on moms of kids in the elementary school years and beyond, providing a Christ-centered, caring environment where friendships and personal relationships can develop. We meet two Tuesday evenings a month, beginning in the fall and running through spring.
Note: no childcare is provided at our meetups.
What happens at a meetup?
A MomCo meetup includes practical teaching through speakers, demonstrations and videos. Plus, there’s food... usually food you didn’t make! But more importantly, you’ll get to have honest conversations with other moms who understand the joys and frustrations of motherhood.
Where can I find out more about meetups?
You can find details about our next meetups on our MomCo and MomCo: After Dark event pages, or email us at MomCoGrace@gmail.com with any questions!
What moms say about MomCo
This group of incredible women has helped me grow in my faith over the past three years and they've also picked me up when I've been at my lowest. Since joining, I went through two miscarriages (and one prior) and continue to struggle with infertility.
The love, prayer and comfort I have received from these women has truly changed my life and relationship with God. When I couldn't feel God with me, when I felt angry, when I could barely function, these women were right there praying with me, grieving my babies and showing up with meals and caring texts. I knew God was working through them to show that He was with me. It feels so good to be a part of a community that enthusiastically celebrates 'the highs' and walks step by step with you through 'the lows.'
When we moved to the Iowa City area, I was a young mother with a toddler and one on the way. We only knew one other family in the area and were completely starting over. While at a park, I met another mom who instantly made me feel welcomed and invited me to MomCo.I was so excited to join and could clearly see God at work. I needed community so badly and God surrounded me by women who poured into me and led me to Christ. Having that time on Tuesdays to talk to other mothers refilled my cup! My boys also loved KidsCo and made many friends! From Tuesday meetings, play dates, mom dinners and much more, I’m so grateful God led me to MomCo!
Titus 2:4 states that older women are to teach younger women to love their husbands and their children. Obedience to this command is not a chore but a privilege and an adventure. I found this to be true being a MomCo Mentor Mom the last five years. The women at my table welcomed a word from someone older and presumably wiser, but I also learned from them in caring for my grandchildren. I was amazed at their openness and honesty in sharing their struggles and also their compassion when I shared my failures. It was a joy to watch and listen to these young moms teach their children to love Jesus.
