Ryan McFadden is originally from Rockford, IL and moved to Iowa in 2008 for a position at the university. He worked in higher education for nine years focused on student leadership development and event planning. Ryan joined the staff in August 2015 as the Facilities Director. In July 2023, Ryan took a new role within the church as the Volunteer Engagement Director advising the CARE Team and SERT, recruiting volunteers, and overseeing the church office.

Ryan met his wife, Krystal, in 2010 and married in 2012. Shortly after they were married, Ryan and Krystal started to attend Grace Community Church. Ryan and Krystal have four boys. You can find Ryan at a Hawkeye wrestling meet, fishing, or enjoying a PBJ sandwich. His motto: “Rock on to the fullest!”
